Data storage, user accounts, private dashboards, payments and integrations are discussed separately before estimating. A complex product needs its own scope and schedule; the small-tool guideline does not apply to it.

Which tools can work without a user account?

Can we start with a prototype?
Yes. We agree the key action and build a prototype to test its logic and usability. Before work starts, we define which parts function and which only illustrate the idea. A complete product and connections to other systems are estimated separately.
